Dosatron International S.A. integrates Hamilton Sundstrand’s
industrial Metering and Mixing company Milton Roy

Stephen G. Oswald, president of Hamilton Sundstrand‚s Industrial group and John Dudley KELLY, president and majority shareholder of Dosatron International S.A., signed the final acquisition of Dosatron International S.A., France, by Hamilton Sundstrand, a division of the American group United Technologies Corporation (NYSE:UTX). Dosatron International was until now a privately held company. The transaction has been subject to regulatory approval, since Dosatron will become part of Milton Roy, one of Hamilton Sundstrand‚s three industrial companies. Milton Roy is one of the world‚s leading Fluid Metering, Mixing and Flow Control companies with a wide range of specialty pumps and systems (Milton Roy, LMI, William, Linc, Hartell, Haskel, BuTech and YZ Systems).

Dosatron commercial and marketing director, Alain Nadal, comments: "This integration will offer exciting opportunities to expand the global network for both Dosatron and Milton Roy products and to serve our distributors and customers even better". No change in the well performing Dosatron sales network (Sales force, Distributors, OEM Customers) is programmed or foreseen, we want the business growing as well as it goes today". ELMIA DAYS FOR INDUSTRY
The « Elmia Days for Industry » were held in Jönköping/Sweden from 6 to 8 March 2007, an exhibition targeting the engineering industry. DOSATRON was represented through a participating customer from our distributor and exhibited in particular the viscous models designed to dose cooling oils. We herewith would like to thank our distributor Frank LASSEN for his efficient collaboration in this matter!

SIFEL
As every year in March, DOSATRON exhibited at the SIFEL, a trade fair for fruit and vegetable production in Agen/Southwest France. Each edition of this show attracts 500 exhibitors and more than 22.000 visitors. The central theme was this time the protection of environment and biological agriculture. DOSATRON seized the opportunity to talk with experts coming from horticulture, arboriculture and vegetable production (50 % of the total visitors). Our company was represented by Geneviève RUEZ and Sylvie BUNUEL who were busy to welcome the visitors on our stand and also exchanging interesting information with co-exhibitors from the fruit and vegetable business.

VIV ASIA
DOSATRON has its firm place in trade shows such as VIV ASIA from 7 to 9. March in Bangkok/Thailand: The DOSATRON is not only used for dosing additives into drinking water for animals, but also for cleaning and disinfection of their environment, thus meeting with the requirement of the consumer for healthier and safer food. This year DOSATRON was represented on the show by Thierry CLAIREAU – Area Sales Manager for Asia, Alain NADAL – Marketing and Sales Director and Xavier CHEHRI – Livestock Market Manager. FIMA
Our Marketing and Sales Director Alain NADAL and our Area Sales Manager Alexandre DELPHIN visited the FIMA GANADERA, the international trade fair for animal production in Zaragossa from 27 to 30 March, in order to meet there our Spanish partner TASHIA and to strengthen contacts with other French exhibitors. This show allowed them to appreciate TASHIA’s reputation and know how, and to get inspired from the most recent developments in mechanization and technologies on the livestock sector.

The printing industry offers many application examples for DOSATRON dosing units:
- on the upstream side of your spraying / humidification systems to guarantee correct dosing of acids for descaling nozzles or biocides for disinfection of the spraying system (risk of development of biofilms and proliferation of legionella by air)
- for correct dosing of wetting additives (isopropylic alcohols or substitutes) in various printing processes
- at the outlet from an osmosis unit to remineralise osmosed water. DOSATRONs are also used for dosing some additives to stabilise the pH of the solution, to reduce the surface tension, prevent the development of bacteria and other micro-organisms, and deposit of insoluble salts (these additives also act as anti-corrosive and anti-foaming agents)
- for dispensing silicone emulsions in forming operations.
The DOSATRON water powered dosing technology is insensitive to pressure and flow variations in the water network, thus assuring precision and repeatability of the results (dosing readjustments are simple and fast according to the information from the pH/Conductivity probes). The dosing ranges of DOSATRON pumps are adapted to the various needs of the printshop (0.07% to 20% of product can be injected into the water). DOSATRON units cope with low water flows during filling of solution tanks, are self-priming at up to 4 meters, and accommodate high viscosities. They guarantee uniform dilution, enable direct readout and easy adjustment of the required dosing percentage and require little maintenance. According to the requirements in the applications, DOSATRON dosing unis can be equipped with options like special seal materials, special pump bodies, chemically resistant allies and viscosity kits. Retirements

This is to inform you that two of our employees will leave us at the end of April as they will retire: They are David HIGHAM and Bernard LASCAUX. David, since his employment in 1987, has been a design draughtsman in the construction / R&D department. As an Englishman, he was also often asked by his French colleagues to help for translations of technical documentation.

Bernard LASCAUX belongs to DOSATRON since 1986. He joined the company when the first D20S prototypes were shipped out. He has been involved with the further development of these units and is now entrusted with their repair and maintenance. David’s plan for the coming retreat is to devote his time to his passion which is the manufacturing of music instruments. Bernard is also a fan of music: Being a musician’s son, he plays drums in an orchestra. We want to warmly thank both of them for their dedicated work at DOSATRON and wish them a happy retreat. We will miss you!
