The Advantages of Microfluidic Products
Microfluidic products produced in series offer customers in all industries the simplest and quickest possibility for integrating microfluidic systems into their own products or systems with good cost-efficiency. We have recognised this need and have constantly widened the range of our own serial produced microfluidic products designed for industry applications.
Alchemist®
Bartels Mikrotechnik turns the world upside down. Currently, most liquid dosing robots only allow dosing from a very limited number of reservoirs. This is no longer the case with the newly developed dosing robot ‘Alchemist’. The ‘Alchemist’ dosing system is a fully automated stand-alone device which is designed to create mixtures totaling 1g or 10g, out of 200+ single ingredients. All of this functionality comes in a compact size.
Serial Produced Micropumps
Bartels Mikrotechnik now sells the world’s first serial produced micropump. The mP5 is 14 x 14 mm wide and 3.5 mm high, and thus smaller than a European 1-cent coin, weighs just 835 mg, and pumps liquids or gases at flow rates between 50 nl/min and 5 ml/min for liquids and 50 µl/min to 15 ml/min for gases. State-of-the-art micro injection-moulding technology brings the minipump down to an amazingly low price if the unit quantities are sufficient. The device is thus the first micropump in existence that can be used as disposable units.
Microvalves
The frequent call for a reliable liquid control system in microfluidic units has also led to the development of a wide range of plastic microvalves. The passive-dynamic check valves are available in “normally closed” version, each with a choice of different switching times.
Also microfilters which can be combined with the microvalves are offered.
CE ChipsCE ChipsCE Chips
The trend towards the handling of minimal sample quantities in ever-smaller and ever-faster analysis units is being met by another Bartels Mikrotechnik development, the capillary electrophoresis chip or standard CE chip. This polycarbonate product series provides channel widths of either 50 µm or 30 µm. The channel depth can be produced in accordance with the customer’s specification up to 75 µm.
Nanotitration Plates
In the miniaturised 1536-format on 25 x 75 mm object carrier size Bartels Mikrotechnik has added an extremely wide library of polycarbonate nanotritration plates to its range. A large number variants is available with different pitches and pot radii.
