The principle of the progressive cavity pump (PCP) invented in the early thirties by the French engineer René MOINEAU, the founder of PCM, is already well proven but its possibilities of application are constantly increasing. PCM offers the widest range of progressive cavity pumps designed to convey viscous, abrasive, heterogeneous, shear-sensitive and frothing fluids. |

A MOINEAU pump consists of a helical metallic rotor which rotates inside an elastic helical stator. The rotor is precision machined from hardened steel with the stator being an abrasion resistant injection-moulded elastomer. The geometry and dimensions of these parts are designed so that a double string of sealed chambers (or cavities) are formed when the rotor turns into the stator.
